Ian McGinn performed his undergraduate studies at the University of Nevada, Reno, where he was awarded a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice with a minor in Economics. Thereafter, Ian attended the William S. Boyd School of Law at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Following his graduation from the William S. Boyd School of Law in 2012, Ian began his legal career as a law clerk for the Honorable Michael P. Villani in the Eighth Judicial District Court of Nevada. Directly after his clerkship, Ian joined Kemp, Jones & Coulthard, LLP and has practiced civil and commercial litigation. Ian has experience practicing on behalf of both plaintiffs and defendants in these cases. He has represented a wide array of clients including, but not limited to, small-business owners, international holding companies, land developers, real estate agents, corporate executives, and various domestic and foreign corporations, limited-liability companies and partnerships.
Ian also takes pride in dedicating his time and experience to clients in need of pro bono services. Ian has represented consumers who were taken advantage of by unscrupulous companies, and has also represented abused and neglected children through the Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada’s Children’s Attorneys Project (“CAP”). Through the CAP program, Ian provides counsel and advice to these children and serves as their voice before the court.
